The Biography of D. H. BROWN

D. H. BROWN is the son of missionary parents. Between their travels and another world travel plan courtesy of his Uncle Sam, he has touched base in more than 40 countries. He was teaching Sunday school at age 8, was first ordained at the age of 12, graduated HS at 16, and was for awhile an associate pastor with the largest Assembly of God church in Missouri. His writing experience ranges from nonprofit communications to movies. In 1986 he produced the independent children's film Lessie's Rainbow. During the late 80s and early 90s, he wrote the book Common Sense and delivered the seminars of the same name for the Community Action Network of Seattle (CAN). While doing his early Vietnam recovery work, he counseled Veterans and spoke widely to men's groups in Washington State, and was a founder of The Lodge of the Wolf. He is also a proud Life member of Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the Southeast Asia ASA Veterans Association (SAASAVA - aka - Old Spooks and Spies).

A Vietnam veteran, D. H. BROWN earned the Bronze Star, the Army Commendation Medal and the Republic of Vietnam (RVN) Gallantry Cross Medal w/Palm.

His professional associations are:
Pacific Northwest Writers Association (PNWA);
Military Writers Society of America (MWSA);
Associate Member to International Thriller Writers, Inc. (ITW);
and the American Authors Association (AAA).

D. H. BROWN has worked as a Logistics and Weapons Specialist in Vietnam; day laborer; Director of Security; Armored Car Driver; Police Officer; Professional Hunting Guide; Trapper; Dog Sledder; Homesteader; Truck Driver; General Contractor; Minister; Editor; Writer; Speaker; Restaurateur; Movie Producer; Antique Restoration Specialist; Personal Care Worker; PC Repair Specialist; Computer Instructor; Webmaster and Web Designer. He writes about what he knows.

He lives a life of solitude deep in the Pacific Northwest rainforest with his wife, author and editor Rebecca and the spirit of Buddy Dog, working on his next book.

People who bother him end up in one of his books, dead.
